Operations
You buy sea days, we run the fleet
A mission is a brief, a launch, a screen and a dataset. Everything in between is our job, from the quay to the last file.

The point
Data as a service, not a boat to own
A survey vessel costs by the day and sails for a week. A sail drone costs by the day and stays out for two hundred.
The fleet remains ours. You do not buy hulls, spares, a crew or a berth. You choose an area, a duration and the data you need, and you pay for the days at sea.
That changes what a public body or an operator can afford to know. A protected area can be listened to for a season instead of a morning. A pipeline can be watched every week instead of every audit.
Dual use means one hull, two customers. The defence configuration and the environmental one share the yard, the control room and the logistics. Each pays only for its own sea days.
The mission
Five steps, one contact
-
01
Brief
Area, dates, what you need to know. We answer with the payload, the number of hulls and the days.
-
02
Mission design
Waypoints, station boxes, sensor schedules and the data format, agreed on paper before anything sails.
-
03
Launch and recovery
By crane from any quay, or from our base in Cagliari. A drone travels on a trailer and is at sea within a day.
-
04
Control room
Our operators plan, monitor and re-route around traffic and weather. You watch the same picture from your office.
-
05
Delivery
Data streams during the mission. At the end you receive the dataset, in your format, with the mission log.
What is included
What a sea day contains
-
01
Mission planning
Routes, boxes and sensor schedules designed by people who have sailed the area.
-
02
Launch and recovery
Trailer, crane and crew for the quay. Recovery for maintenance or at the end of the mission.
-
03
Control room
Watch kept around the clock while a drone is at sea, with an operator on call for the customer.
-
04
Data streaming and delivery
Positions, detections and alerts during the mission. The dataset at the end, documented.
-
05
Maintenance and swap
A fouled or damaged hull is replaced by another from the fleet. The mission does not stop.
-
06
Security and data handling
Encrypted links, data stored in the European Union, and defence missions handled under separate rules.
Three ways to work
From a day to a fleet
| Level | Duration | Hulls | Data delivery | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Catalogue sea days | From one day to four weeks | One | Dataset at the end of the mission | A first survey, a spot check, a pilot |
| Dedicated mission | One to seven months | One to three | Streaming during the mission, dataset at the end | A season on a protected area, a platform, a strait |
| Exclusive fleet | One year or more | Three or more | Live picture, alerts, monthly reports | A navy, a region, an operator with a whole area to watch |

Logistics
From the trailer to the water in a day
A drone is six metres and eight long and weighs less than a small car. It travels by road and goes in by crane.
Our base is Cagliari, in the centre of the western basin. From there a drone reaches any quay of Sardinia by road, and any port of the Mediterranean by ferry or by sea, sailing on its own.
- Launch by crane from any commercial quay
- Recovery for maintenance or a payload swap
- Road transport on a standard trailer
- Base in Cagliari, on the route to Sicily, Malta and the Balearics
Questions
Before you write
How long before a mission starts?
Four to six weeks from the brief for a standard configuration. Less if a hull is already in the area.
What if the weather turns?
The drone is designed to stay out in sea state six and to heave to beyond it. The control room routes it away from the worst of a system. It does not come home for a storm.
Who owns the data?
You do. We keep the mission log and the engineering telemetry. The sensor data is yours, delivered in your format and deleted from our servers on request.
Can our own sensor go on board?
Often yes. The payload bay takes up to forty-five kilos and a hundred and forty watts. Send the datasheet and we answer within a week.
Can you work for a navy and a region at the same time?
Yes, with separate hulls and separate rules. Defence missions run on their own links and are not mixed with civil data.
